Day 01: Kolkata to Duarsini + Overnight stay at Duarsini
Transfer from Kolkata to Duarsini (270 kms / 6 hrs). Check-in into resort / homestay. Evening enjoy at leisure and soak in the new atmosphere you are in. Overnight stay at Duarsini.

Day 02: Full Day Local Sightseeing at Duarsini
Visit the Duarsini Forest. The forest is covered with Saal, Segun, Piyal, Teak, Mahua, Shimul and Kusum trees. While the ways ascending to the forest is mystical and is jaw dropping to witness during sundown. The forest is home to diverse species of fauna from leopards, hyenas, bears, wolves, deer to wild elephants. If fortunate get a glimpse of these animals basking in their natural habitat. Booking a safari is the best way to get around the forest and it is not advisable to go into the core areas of the forest without a local or a guide. Duarsini is home to several old tribes which includes the Munda, Santhal, Shabaradh and the Kheriya. One of the most intriguing aspects include getting to know the tribes first hand and their age-old traditions and customs unique to the region. Visit some of the tribal houses (guided by some local).

The rainforests and the villages of Duarsini have the Satgudum river flowing by and is an absolute bliss to watch. Take a safari through the river banks and be delighted with the stunning view. Gaze at the open sky and listen to the unending chirping of the birds by sitting at the river bank. Later if time permits visit the Bhalo Hills which is at a stone’s throw away from Duarsini. Barely 3 kms away the hills boast of a stunning pictorial representation of the lush green hills and the winding red roads. The tranquillity of the place is unmatched.

Day 03: Transfer from Duarsini to Ghatshila via Galudi
Transfer from Duarsini to Ghatshila (28 kms / 1 hr). En-route visit Galudi. The town of Galudi is a picturesque spot which is barely 9 kms away from Ghatshila. A hilly town the place is famed for its pleasant climate and the thick forested cover. Visit Galudih Dam. The serenity of the place is worth mentioning that makes for stunning pictures. A ridge of hills in the vicinity and the topography of the place makes it a marvel for the eyes of the beholder. Visit Phuldungri which is located at stone’s throw away from Galudi. A 3 km distance that takes you across a series of hillocks from where one can get the perfect aerial view of the town of Ghatshila. The trekking trail is mesmerizing which is a spiral pathway that takes you to the top of the hill and is densely forested with Saal trees and the roads are lined up in red pebbles. Legend has it that prayers here can lead to separated lovers finding their partners back.

Visit the Burudih Lake. The lake is located within a distance of 4 to 5 kms from Galudi. An artificial waterbody that was constructed during the era of British colonial rule. The lake offers several boating options which include speed and paddle boats. The best time to visit the lake is when the clouds does not play a spoilsport in obstructing the views of the distant hills. The lake is surrounded with forests and hills making for an incredible view. One can also visit the place in October when the famous “Binda Mela” takes place every year.  Further also visit the Dharagiri waterfalls which is situated at a distance of 6 kms from the Burudih Lake. A prime attraction that draws in tourists owing to the remarkable view it offers during monsoons.
The falls stand 25 feet high and lashes down across the Dharagiri Hills. A nominal entry fee allows tourists to take a peek into some of the pre-historic carvings on stone across the falls coupled with a Kali temple. Perfect for picknickers this is a lesser-known gem in this region. Later visit Ratmohona which is located on the banks of river Subarnarekha. A perfect spot for watching the scenic views during both sunrise and sundown. One has to cross the Galudih barrage to reach Ratmohona. If time permits visit the ancient temple complex of the Dhalbhum Palace. A prime tourist attraction across Galudi, this place boasts of multiple old temples. One that includes the temples of Dashbhuja, Tribeniswar and the Langta Kotal Mandir all of which are located inside the private residence of the royal family. Later check-in into the resort / homestay at Ghatshila. Overnight at Ghatshila.

Day 04: Full Day Local Sightseeing at Ghatshila Tourist Spot
Visit Narwa Forest. The forest is home to several unique spots all winding up through rivulets and hillocks. The tranquillity of the place blows one over. One can sit around the cemented spot by the tributary and gaze at the natural marvel. The place is thronged by colourful butterflies and lizards that call it their home. Next up visit the Rankini Temple which is 10 kms away from this spot.
A temple dedicated to goddess Kali which was built by Raja Jagannath of the Dhulbhum dynasty and is renowned amongst devotees. The temple draws in crowds from neighbouring states and villages and only qualified priests are allowed to perform the rites. Located 5 kms away from the heartland of Ghatshila, the Panch Pandav hills is steeped in folklore and myth. The place is home to naturally sculpted ancient stones that pays homage to five men. Locals mention the sculptures signifies the five pandav brothers of Mahabharat. This place offers scenic views with a distant railway track in the picture. Lastly visit the residence of the famed and renowned Bengali author and novelist “Bibhuti Bhushan Bandopadhyay”. The novelist’s home, a humble cottage has been revamped by the state government and declared a heritage site. This was right here where the novelist gave birth to his most famous work called the “Pather Panchali” which was cinematically adapted into “Apu’s Trilogy”. A site that has been given grave importance for the promoting literary culture. Later return back to resort / homestay. Overnight at Ghatshila.

Day 05: Departure / Transfer
Morning after breakfast transfer back to Kolkata. Tour Ends.
