Mandarmani Tour Itinerary
Transfer from Kolkata to Baguran Jalpai (165 kms / 4 hrs). Baguran Jalpai is one of the pristine beaches located in the Contai subdivision of East Medinipur in West Bengal. Check-in into your homestay / resort. Later proceed to visit the Baguran Jalpai Beach. A nondescript sea beach that stands out as one of the less overcrowded beaches than its counterparts of Digha and Mandarmani. The serene ambience of the place offers a refreshing break from daily routine life. Stroll lazily through the sea beach and get intrigued with the red crabs conjuring up the land. Visit some of the fishing villages nearby. Later proceed to visit two of the virgin beaches of Junput and Bankiput. Junput Sea Beach is decked with casuarina trees that line up the expanse of the sea beach just like at Baguran Jalpai. A lighthouse overlooks the confluence point of the river and the sea making for a scenic backdrop. Bankiput Sea Beach has loads of attractions. The lighthouse at Dariyapur is located at a stone’s throw distance of 7 kms. The lighthouse stands tall at 96 feet and offers a panoramic view of the surrounding sea beach. Visit the Kapalkundala Kali Mandir if time permits. Rumour has it that the famous Bengali poet “Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay” used the Kapalkundala Mandir as an inspiration for writing his famed novel “Kapalkundala”. Later return back to resort / homestay. Overnight at Baguran Jalpai.
Transfer from Baguran Jalpai to Mandarmani (30 kms / 1 hr). Mandarmani is one of the most famous sea beaches of West Bengal. A popular weekend destination for tourists Mandarmani offers the perfect seaside retreat with never ending views of the Mandarmani Sea Beach. Check-in into your homestay / resort. Later proceed to visit the Mandarmani Sea Beach and spend time watching the waves crashing at your feet while you try playing hide and seek with hundreds of red crabs. The solitude and the beauty of this beach is intoxicating. There are loads of options for adventure sport lovers that include ATV Bike Rides, Jet Ski Rides to Banana Boat Rides. Indulge in some delectable sea fares and local shopping. Later return back to resort / homestay. Overnight at Mandarmani.
