Tour Itinerary

Day 01: NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport to Icchey Gaon + Ichhey Gaon Local Sightseeing

Welcome on arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport and transfer to Ahaldara. Check-in into your homestay. Ahaldara is a tiny hill hamlet that has been left untouched. Get mesmerized by the scenic views that leaves you with a sensory overload. If time permits proceed to the Ahaldara Sunrise Point. The viewpoint offers stunning views of the snow-capped Kanchenjunga. An ideal place for camping, Ahaldara view point is located barely 5kms from the village and is a go to destination on clearer days. Since the view point paves way to look at Gangtok, Kalimpong, Bagora as well as Tinchuley hills. Later proceed to visit the Bengal Safari Park located in the midst of the Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary. The Park is famed for leopards to tigers. Further cover a birding tour to nearby Latpanchar. The place is a heaven for avid birdwatchers boasting of a myriad variety of avifauna. This includes Orient Hornbill, Common Green Magpie, Oriental Cuckoo to the Darjeeling Woodpecker. Return back to your homestay. Overnight at Ahaldara homestay.

Day 02: Icchey Gaon Local Sightseeing + Transfer to Chatakpur

Early morning proceed to visit and stay Icche gaon homestay Hilltop that offers stunning views during dawn. Later after breakfast check out of resort / homestay and cover some of the local sightseeing points in and around Icchey Gaon. Visit the Aritar Lake also referred as the Lampokhri Lake. Famed as a boot-shaped lake, Aritar Lake is one of the oldest recognized natural lakes around the Darjeeling hills that is 1120 feet in length and 240 feet wide in breadth. Later transfer to Chatakpur. Check-in into homestay. Experience the new culture of the place you are at. Overnight at Chatakpur homestay.

Day 03: Chatakpur Local Sightseeing + Transfer to Taba Koshi

Visit the Chatakpur Watch Tower that offers mesmerizing views of the trekker’s paradise of West Bengal, i.e., “Sandakphu”. The Chatakpur Watch Tower is also considered as the sunrise point of Chatakpur. One that offers the visitors to catch a regular affair in all its glory. The glimpse of the snow-clad mountainous ranges that glazes whilst the sunrise covers its trajectory of revealing as far as the horizon while the sky basks in honey dipped orange and golden hues. Chatakpur is also famous for the conifer and pine plantations that are strewn all around and makes for a perfect picture postcard view. Later transfer to Taba Koshi. The term “Taba Koshi” has been derived from local Nepali language where “Tamba” stands for copper while “Koshi” stands for river. Thus, the name “Tamba Koshi” or “Taba Koshi” since the place owes its scenic settings to the mountainous river that flows by the town, the river “Rangbhang”. Check-in into resort / homestay. Evening free for individual activity and leisure. Overnight at Taba Koshi.

Day 04: Taba Koshi Local Sightseeing + Transfer to NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport

Visit the river “Rangbhang”. The beautiful views amidst the lap of nature transfers you into a surreal world. After spending some time proceed to visit the Vishnu & Shiva Temples in Taba Koshi. Do take time out to visit the Taba Koshi Park that boasts of carved out pathways that allows one to take walk amidst the lush lawns. Taba Koshi boasts of two tea factories, visit the tea factory of Gopal Dhara. Further also visit a local ginger farm. Also try your hands at fishing (subject to availability at local homestay). Later transfer to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport. Tour Ends.
