Day 01: NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport to Ahaldara + Ahaldara Local Sightseeing

Welcome on arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport and transfer to Ahaldara. Check-in into your homestay. Ahaldara is a tiny hill hamlet that has been left untouched. Get mesmerized by the scenic views that leaves you with a sensory overload. If time permits proceed to the Ahaldara Sunrise Point. The viewpoint offers stunning views of the snow-capped Kanchenjunga. An ideal place for camping, Ahaldara view point is located barely 5kms from the village and is a go to destination on clearer days. Since the view point paves way to look at Gangtok, Kalimpong, Bagora as well as Tinchuley hills. Later proceed to visit the Bengal Safari Park located in the midst of the Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary. The Park is famed for leopards to tigers. Further cover a birding tour to nearby Latpanchar. The place is a heaven for avid birdwatchers boasting of a myriad variety of avifauna. This includes Orient Hornbill, Common Green Magpie, Oriental Cuckoo to the Darjeeling Woodpecker. Return back to your homestay. Overnight at Ahaldara homestay.

Day 02: Ahaldara Local Sightseeing + Transfer to Sillery Gaon

Visit Shelpu Hill that is densely interspersed with cinchona plantations. The road leading to Shelpu Hill is laden with dark and deep woods that bears testimony to the place that is so unscathed from tourists. Wherein what overpowers you is only the fragrance from the flowers. Whose scent wafts through all seasons. Further also visit Namthing Pokhri. The lake is home to the Himalayan Salamander and remains dry for more than half of the year. Only filling up during the rainy season. Later transfer to Sillery Gaon. Check-in into your homestay. A tiny hill hamlet where nature takes precedence in the form of the unending forested land that paves way to this Himalayan abode. The term “Sillery” originated from the word “Sillery Saag”, one of the edible greens that the local villagers harvested and produced. Overnight at Sillery Gaon homestay.

Day 03: Sillery Gaon Local Sightseeing + Transfer to NJP

Visit Ramitey View Point that offers magnificent views of Mt. Kanchenjunga coupled with the fourteen bends of River Teesta. The view point also offers a stunning view of the confluence of two Rivers namely Teesta and Reshi. A barely 30 meters trek from Sillery Gaon leads you to Tinchuley View Point. This view point is famous for offering 360-degree view of the mighty Himalayas. A 4 kms walk from Sillery Gaon brings one to the ruined fort called the “Damsang Fort” that was constructed by the Lepcha Kingdom around 1690. Thus, earmarking solidarity for the ethnic clashes that erupted between the Bhutias and the Lepchas. Also visit Hanuman Top & Silent Valley.

Later transfer to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport. Tour Ends.
